How does it work?
The aim here isn't the best XI, it's the Anti XI. Goals are worth nothing. Cards, fouls, penalties and the mistakes people still bring up years later: that's the currency.
Squad rules
Eleven players, one fixed shape
1 keeper, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 forwards. Everyone plays the same formation. The only difference is who you back.
Positions are locked
No sneaking a defender into midfield. A player fills the position they actually play.
Three players per club, at most
No riding one club's bad-tempered afternoon. You have to spread the chaos around the league.
No budget, no captain, no bench
This first version has no prices, no captain multiplier and no substitutes. Just eleven names and your nerve.
The weekly loop
- 1
Friday morning
Your squad locks
Before the week's first whistle your XI freezes. From that moment you're not a manager any more, you're a fan with a very specific rooting interest.
- 2
Friday – Monday
The matches happen
Every booking, every foul, every penalty lands in your column. Suddenly a rainy 0-0 is must-watch television.
- 3
Monday night
Points are final
Once the week's last match ends the data is processed, points close and the tables update.
- 4
Tuesday
Awards and a fresh week
We crown the Anti of the Week, publish the Anti XI, and the squad builder opens again for the new week.
Points come from chaos
A quiet 90 minutes = 0 points
If your player had a lovely, tidy, professional game, bad news: as far as you're concerned, nothing happened. Goals, assists and saves are worth nothing here. We only love the ones stirring it.
The table above is always the live one. If an event's value changes we announce it first, and we never touch the points of past weeks.
Anti of the Week
Every week the player who collects the most points is named Anti of the Week. On Tuesday we publish their story: how many cards, how many fouls, which unbelievable moment. Next to it comes the Anti XI, the week's eleven most chaotic players.
If they were in your squad, the week belongs to you.
Frequently asked
Is this game making fun of footballers?
No. Anti11 looks at football's chaos with affection. It isn't here to humiliate anyone, single anyone out or pile on. It's here to celebrate the most absurd moments of ninety minutes. Whoever sees a card or gives away a penalty is our hero of the week.
Is there money involved? Is this betting?
Absolutely not. Anti11 is completely free: no entry fee, no betting, no prizes, no ads. The only thing you win is bragging rights in the group chat.
When do points update?
Points go in provisionally as matches finish; the week officially closes on Monday night. If the data needs correcting, points can be recalculated, so the table may wobble a little until then.
When can I change my squad?
As often as you like while the squad is unlocked, which is from Monday night through to Friday morning. Once the lock drops that week is untouchable, but you can start building next week's XI straight away.
What if my player doesn't play at all?
0 points. An injured player, one left out of the squad, or one who stays quiet for ninety minutes gives you nothing. In this game the worst case isn't a red card, it's good behaviour.
Why do the points change?
The scoring system is the heart of the game and it's still being balanced. An event's value can be updated between weeks; when that happens we announce it in advance and leave past weeks' points alone.
